He was born on May 7, , in the small town of Khomeyni Shahr in Isfahan Province, Iran. Farhadi graduated from Tehran University's Tarbiat Modares in
Early Career
Before making his debut in feature films, Farhadi directed short films on 8mm and 16mm films, which he submitted to the "Iranian Society of Young Cinematographers." He also worked for the radio company "Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran" and co-wrote the screenplay for the drama "Low Heights" with Ibrahim Hatamikia.
Breakthrough
